Danny, a young musician working as an assistant to music executive Mel, is house-sitting Mel’s NYC townhouse with his coworker, Margaret. While there, Danny receives a tense call from his mother, who scolds him for neglecting his family. Margaret overhears and shares her own frustrations about her stalled career and Mel’s broken promises, just as Danny’s girlfriend, Gina, and his bandmate, Don, arrive.

When Don accidentally shatters a sentimental vase made by Mel’s late mother, the group searches for repairs and ends up at a parlor on Bleeck Street. There, Madame Rue offers both restoration and a tarot reading that reveals hidden truths, setting off events that will test Danny’s relationships and the direction of his life.
